What is Check Tracker™?
Check Tracker™ is a patented direct response system developed exclusively by Tribune Direct Marketing. The Check Tracker™ system allows marketers to capture, process, warehouse, and analyze direct mail responses through the use of a modified check, called a Value Check™. |

The Value Check™ is a real check worth only one-cent, however, its actual value is assigned by the marketer and is not limited to cash discounts. The Value Check™ drives response through the retail branch network (like traditional direct mail) but is processed through the central banking system (just like

How does a Value Check work?
Value Check is a patented product that provides marketers with an easy
method to capture responders. The Value Check is a coupon that
customers use to redeem your offers in-store then utilizes the Federal
Banking system to capture responders. The coupon is deposited as a
check at the point of sale and we do the rest. Tribune Direct has
developed a proprietary process in partnership with the banking system
to scan the MICR encoding line containing the unique routing, transit,
and account numbers of each coupon/check and send electronically back to
Tribune Direct. We can then match the unique numbers to your outbound
mailing file to identify who responded to your marketing campaign. We
use this information to analyze campaign results and develop powerful
forward marketing strategies to enhance your direct mail efforts. |
